What is the best way to separate fused-fire low furniture?

I work in a self-service pottery painting place and my studies undergraduate ceramics. When I (accidentally) pieces merge, I'd end up breaking them and throwing them away and do something else if I tried separate them. My dilemma is that it is not my room … and I need to fix it. it is the customer's fault, but I told him that I will try my unfuse best to pieces. It is a flat cake on a base and I need to separate from the base. The only way I can think of is to take a dremel to it and "sawing" off the base, it will be the underside of the plate uneven but did not mind. Are there other Can I get advice on how to separate two low-fire glazed pieces without using a jig saw or tile cutter? Something that not vibrate the whole room or failure on the part of the latter plate. Thank you very much !!!:)

I think a Dremel rotary tool with a hard cutoff probably your best choice. It may or may not work, use some type of filling below the ceramic while you work on it. It depends how they are merged and how accessible the area you have to separate. Maybe you can save two pieces if they are not merged evil. If they are merged wrong you may have to sacrifice a piece to get another. If it seems like this is the case you can ask the customer they want the party more harm …
