Ceramics with children?
Currently Reading Rainbow (TV show), Native American pottery. We have clay in the yard (which can form a ball with the ground is so muddy). Do you think we should add anything to make some pottery with him? How could to dismiss without an oven? I went to the site (which responds second link) and it was all ads.
You can not fire clay in your garden without an oven – at least not successful. Even if you have a furnace must first test the clay to make sure you have the desired properties. Being able to make a ball with the ground does not mean necessarily the clay content is high enough to make useful pots and also have to figure out the temperature the clay hardens (sinters). Look up dough if you want an activity with their children can bake in the oven. Or buy a clay oven baked. This is not however for foodstuffs. If you want take a pottery class at a pottery studio or an art center.
