steps to glazing pottery
Ceramic glaze out of step?

I did my own flowers, leaves, hearts to embellish my steps. I used a low fire glaze and clay to a simmer. After months of winter were over, I realized Chipping varnish. Any sugguestions? TIA Jane

Yes, this is a break for the same reason, break clay pots. Caused by freezing water in porous surfaces during the winter. Cracks water freezing expansion between the glaze and clay. The next instead, try a cease-fire clay and glazes.
