What is the difference between a glass furnace and kiln?

Can I use a kiln for glass work? Fusion thermoforming and paint?

A major difference is a pottery kiln in general, allows the temperature decrease after reaching the temperature furnaces ceramics can also be warmer than the glass furnaces. A glass furnace that controls the rate of cooling to anneal the glass. Annealing reduces the internal pressure that can produce glass breaking. Edit: I have more access to kilns. I'm talking with a friend who has a glass furnace to make some parts due to the annealing step
