I need help making glass pendants ….?
I want to make glass pendants dichrois but I have an oven I use an oven??? Because i dont know if i could and if I can How long must I put them in if they're about 1 inch by 1 1/2inch and theyre 3 layers of thick glass??
I'm afraid that the oven does not have nearly enough heat to melt the glass. Most kitchen ovens have a maximum temperature of about 600 ° F. In a self-cleaning cycle, can reach as high as 1000 ° F. But that is still not sufficient enough to melt the glass. You'll have to find access to an oven somewhere. Glass fusion is place somewhere in the neighborhood of 1300-1400 ° F. You can read about it … try http://www.warmglass.com/basic.htm I came across a kit in the hall Hobby, who said it could melt glass in a microwave oven, the team was more than $ 100 so that no further research.
