Kiln Heating Elements
how would you fix an exposed heating element in a kiln?

how would you fix an exposed heating element in a kiln

Not “recommending” it ,but if theres nohing to lose , might try an old ( scary) way some people used to fix dryer elements.
Might work & be safe enough for an electric kiln.
They twisted broken element ends together & coated w/ brazing flux.
Turned it on & it apparently “brazes” itself if there is enough heat .
Have done some brazing & it seems to make sense.
I’m thinking that wrapping w/ brazing or silver solder wire might help if the element has parted.
If ithe element has just lost its coating would just try the flux powder.
Will work, or it wont.
Possibly worth a try if a kiln supplier s/ its OK.
Best regards
