How can get paied back if themoney is transfered bank to bank and not get the items that i orderd on the net ?

I would like to know what’s happens if one buy the items on the internet. And paied through the bank account of the company.
Then not get it delivered……
Does one have to get lawer to get payed back?
Or it there any other way to secure the deals ??
Because i’m thinking to buy pottery kiln which is pricy.
And the company is in Germany and they ask to pay before the delivery. I’ve got their address, telephon etc…
But i’m not sure and worried in case if it is not delived …
Please give me some advise if anybody knows about EU dealing matter !
