How do you get the ceramic hot?
I made a cup of tea in my pottery class and I was wondering if you can actually boil water in it. I do not know what kind of varnish is on it, but I know it is safe to drink. He was sacked twice on clay and one for the glaze.
Ceramic Teapots not used to boil water, water is paid by some other containers. That could be used to bring water to boil in an oven that would apply very uniform heat but most hand-made pots are very uneven, if placed in a burner, electricity or gas that would break the stress. And, of course, if heated in a oven, the pan is too hot to handle.
