Is it safe to bake the pottery in the kitchen oven?
Will it harm any food you put there after?
Your oven is not hot enough to fuse the clay particles. An oven is needed to fire pottery, at least 1500/1800 degrees F. And it must be a fire slow to prevent thermal shock on clay. If you want to work seriously on the clay, look in the yellow pages of a potter or ceramic workshop and make the offer with the kind of fire clay. Most also "the" oven space rental for you. Good Luck!
