Is it difficult or impossible for a beginner to build a buried swimming pool?
I am good with tools, intelligent and capable. I want a long, thin, rectangular pool with rail "T" or "L" in my backyard. The elbow of the L or T is a bathing area for fun, and the long end and a means of exercise. This is a small garden. (The soil is clay here! Could easily make a lot of pottery.) Opponents day – and I also found it amusing that some assumed they use hand tools to dig a clay floor pool – ROFL! – When there are two companies that rent all sorts of ingenious machines digging in the two blocks of me. My father built his own ground with no previous experience pool, but chose not to do much research and shopping to find the best way to do it, supplies, etc. before it starts. I think it was fixed on a computer instead of a custom shape, but not installed a solar heating system independent. It took a couple of weeks to dig the hole and the installation of the pool. Built in 1995 and has had to keep very little since. This is a large pool, just make sure you do your research and have confidence in their ability to complete the work before you start! Edit (8/15/06): Wow, look at the nay-Sayers! Probably many people in the construction industry of the pool are responding to this person. Who said the do-it-yourself means you have been using hand tools? It is a ridiculous proposal!
